True gear should be built by those who rely on it daily.

We partnered with Swiss champion para-athlete Amanda Weizenegger and her guide dog Charlie(@charlie.guides) to craft these visual boundaries.

A cinematic, realistic illustration of three handlers standing proudly behind their working dogs on a city street. From left to right: a Yellow Labrador projecting a yellow "WORKING DO NOT PET" sign, a medium mixed-breed dog projecting a white "STOP!" sign, and a German Shepherd projecting a red "MEDICAL ALERT" sign.

Its a lifesaver for me and my guide dog

This product is a lifesaver for me and my guide dog. It’s for safety, education and awareness. Now we are easier to see (my guide dog is black). We are sending a message to people, who approach us, not to interact with and distract the dog. We are educating the public about the guide dogs.

Frequently Asked Questions

🔐 Will this attach securely to my dog's working vest or harness?

Yes. This edition includes complimentary extra-long straps designed specifically to wrap around thick mobility harnesses, service capes, and standard vests. The attachment is secure, lightweight, and completely silent—no metallic jingling to distract your working partner.

🔋 How is the device powered?

The Spotlight is easily rechargeable via the included USB-C cable. A full charge lasts for multiple night walks.

Care Note: While built for daily missions, the device is not waterproof. Please detach it during heavy rain or water activities to protect the electronics.

🎨 Can I use my own design for my Spotlight?

Absolutely. While we offer 9 ready-to-ship professional designs, you can select the "Custom Design" option from the dropdown menu.

How it works: Simply complete your checkout, then email your design file (photo, specific medical instruction, or text) along with your Order # to hello@basilfriends.com.

Please note: To maintain the spirit of this edition, custom designs are strictly for personal, medical, or non-profit use.

✈️ How long does it take to make and ship?

Every set is prepared with care. Please allow 1-3 business days for us to process and pack your order (fully custom lenses may take an additional 1-2 days to craft).

☀️ Is the projection visible in daylight?

The Spotlight is engineered for low-light conditions, evening walks, and indoor public spaces (like malls, airports, or offices). While highly visible in these settings, the projection will not be visible in direct, bright sunlight.

🦮 Do you offer bulk pricing for service dog training organizations?

Yes, we love partnering with training schools and non-profits! If you are looking to equip your organization's graduating class, please email us at hello@basilfriends.com to discuss our organization pricing and partnership programs.

🔦 Will the light distract my dog?

No, the beam is projected forward/downward and the device is silent to ensure your dog stays focused.
